Aerobatic Training
AEROBATIC TRAINING

With more than 17,000 hours of flight time experience and over 600 hours of aerobatics, Mike will walk with you through your all attitude flight training. No need to rush, these programs are designed to fit the speed of the student. From the basics to advanced levels, you can learn safely building your confidences and skills as well as knowledge for the sport of aerobatics. Sunday afternoon casual aerobatics to the hard core grit your teeth competition, begin this adventure by learning the right way the first time in equipment you can trust and with active seasoned aerobatic mentors.

During these last few years, Mike has won the 2002 U.S. National Aerobatic Intermediate Category Championship and gained a seat on the 2003-2004 U.S. Advanced Aerobatic Team which will be traveling to Sweden this Summer. Mike also holds level III Airshow Waiver.

INTRO FLIGHT TO AEROBATICS
This time is designed to introduce you to the aircraft you would be training in as well as the instructor you may be working with. A review of the FAA regulations, use of the safety equipment and an introductory flight is included in this package. Take a ride, and then decide if this is something you want to explore. A video of this flight is available.

Allow 2 to 3 hours for ground and flight. Introductory flight $299.00


STALL/SPIN AND UNUSUAL ATTITUDE TRAINING
This program is designed to raise the student's level of confidence as well as knowledge regarding upright stall/spin recovery techniques and unusual attitude recovery techniques.
Takeoff and departure stalls, base to final slip/skid stalls resulting in a spin at a low altitude and slow flight will be reviewed and practiced extensively. Be prepared for multiple upright turning spins and unusual attitude recovery maneuvers.
Average training time is 5 hours of flight time and, 3 hours of ground training.


ADVANCED SPIN TRAINING / BASIC AEROBATIC TRAINING
(Competitive or Non-Competitive)
This program will prepare you for the unexpected. Several types of spin entries and recoveries from a multitude of botched maneuvers, it will prepare you to get out of a problem fast. At the same time, you will begin to learn the basic aerobatic maneuvers which are the building blocks of all aerobatics. Spins, loops, rolls, inverted flight, Cuban eights and combinations of these maneuvers, the list goes on. Learn the basics right the first time. The recovery from botched maneuvers portion of this program is the most essential part of this training. Average training time is 10 hours of flight time and 5 hours of ground training.

AIRCRAFT TO BE USED

The trusty and rugged Pitts S-2B is a strong and reliable aircraft originally designed for
the stress of unlimited aerobatics. Today, it is one of the more popular aircraft used for
basic and advanced aerobatic instruction as well as competition aerobatics. It's 260 hp.
Lycoming engine and nimble airframe will get you back to altitude quickly, not wasting your
flight time
and provide you a safe platform while at the same time giving you the ride of your life.
